Nintendo let us take a look into its world this morning with a new Nintendo Direct, to show off what it's been working on and what is up its sleeve.

With a surprise announcement of a Tecmo Koei Zelda / Dynasty Warriors mash-up stealing the show, a Mario Kart 8 trailer, a Smash Bros character reveal, Kirby 3DS, NES Remix for the Wii U, and so much more, Nintendo pulled out the ace card from its sleeve to keep us happy and let us know big things are coming soon.

Tecmo Koei's Zelda / Dynasty Warriors mash up had a great trailer showing off what the concept is and how the studio is keeping it as "true" to what we expect, while introducing a new way to enjoy our favorite green hero.

Iwata made sure to stress that this is not the Zelda that Nintendo is working on, but a project Tecmo Koei is working on.

NES Remix for the Wii U was also announced, available today! It features different ways to enjoy Nintendo's classics via remixed challenges.

Rosalina was announced today as a playable character for the next Super Smash Bros, coming sometime next year!  Rosalina was also showing off her driving skills in the new Mario Kart 8 trailer for the Wii U.

Nintendo showed us so much that a lot of the announcements it made today made the presentation feel like an E3 event.

Between Dr. Luigi for Wii U, two special DLCs for Sonic Lost World (one being a Yoshi's Island level and one presumably being a Zelda level based on an Iwata hint), and a bunch of first party 3DS games, I could not be more excited to dust off my Wii U and somehow stop playing Pokemon and Zelda on my 3DS to experience everything Nintendo will bring us over the next year.
