With Sony and Microsoft getting ready to launch their next generation, Nintendo would like to borrow your attention for a 30 minute Nintendo Direct and remind you that it is Nintendo and it makes awesome games!

The focus games were The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Super Mario 3D World, along with additional details for Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy and more DLC for Pikmin 3.

On November 22nd, which is also the launch date of the Xbox One, Nintendo will be releasing 3 games. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Mario Party: Island Tour are launching for the 3DS and Super Mario 3D World is launching for the Wii U.

Nintendo has such a strong hold on the handheld gaming market with the success of the 3DS this year and with the addition of a long-awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - many gamers' favorite game of all time - Nintendo will be definitely stealing time away from my Xbox One that day!

Super Mario 3D World is the first fully multiplayer Mario title to be realesed in a 3D environment and it could not look any better.  Nintendo showed off 10 things you have to see in 3D World, and what it showed off, including a fifth additional character, seems like more than enough reason to let your shiny new Xbox One or PS4 collect dust for a day or ten.

Also big news from the Direct: the 3DS will be getting a huge system update next month to add the awesome Miiverse, YouTube, and the consolidation of your Wii U balance and your 3DS balance, meaning no more of your money in two different places.

While Nintendo has always "done its own thing" compared to Microsoft and Sony, it showed that games always come first thanks to its strong list of IPs that will have you carrying your 3DS with you everywhere you go, as well as dusting off your Wii U for what looks like one of the best Mario titles to date!
