Nintendo has announced a new Indie World showcase. The event will kick off tomorrow and will show off around 20 minutes of information regarding new indie games heading to Nintendo Switch.

We're not sure exactly what kind of games to expect from the upcoming Indie World showcase. It's a fairly safe bet that "niche game publisher" EastAsiaSoft will be announcing something as part of the event. The company took to Twitter yesterday to tease "a special announcement coming very soon", alongside a picture of a Switch console bearing the studio's logo. Unfortunately, that's all they wrote, so to speak, but the company is well-known for its physical editions of digital games.

Whatever games come along tomorrow, expect an immediately available game or two. Back in December, both cerebral puzzler The Talos Principle and monster-slaying MMO Dauntless were offered as soon as that month's showcase was over. Similarly, back in August, first-person shooter-puzzler SUPERHOT was launched immediately following its presentation. We don't know yet exactly what games will be announced or released tomorrow, but it's a safe bet that at least one or two of them will be available for download straight away.

The Japanese gaming giant's Indie World brand is intended to show off indie talent from around the world. Recent games that have come to the label include Untitled Goose Game and Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition. They take their place alongside standards like CupheadWarGroove, and Baba Is You. Indie development has been a big part of Nintendo's strategy when it comes to the Switch, so these announcements always bring with them a good number of new titles. We'll have to wait and see.

The next Nintendo Indie World showcase starts tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. PT (that's 1:00 p.m. ET). You can check it out right here when it starts.
