Datamines usually lead to leaking potential content and announcements planned by the studio and its development team, and the most recent datamine revealed Ninjala will be on the receiving end of pretty major additions and changes.
Twitter user, OatmealDome, was the first to post about the datamining results and it features an in-game currency, potential Sonic-themed cosmetic items, and a future solo campaign mode. The in-game currency, dubbed "Jala," and a "Ninjala Pass" are reportedly coming into the game to add rewards and items players can unlock through progression.

There's some in-game currency purchasable via microtransactions called "Jala" and a "Ninjala Pass".
There is a Gumball Machine (basically gacha) that gives you "special items".
(thx @LeanYoshi)
Not only that, the datamines revealed a few hints towards Sonic-themed cosmetic items, mainly a sticker featuring Dr. Robotnik.

There's a few of references to the Sonic series within cosmetic item descriptions. Here's one:
"A sticker of the mad scientist Dr. Robotnik striking a victory pose. Let the whole world know your ambitions."

The third and final tweet hints towards a potential solo campaign mode, where players "fend off the attacks of the invading space ninja." You will get to play as Van, under the teaching of his mentor, Master Gramps. For now, the leaks hint towards the campaign releasing in "volumes," with each volume giving players four episodes to play through. This comes hand-in-hand with the earlier in-game currency, as it will probably be used to purchase these episodes or volumes from Ninjala's shop directly.
