There doesn't seem to be many games - if any - where you play as a musher during the Iditarod. The Red Lantern seeks to fix that. This title, developed by Timberline Studios, is coming next year.

According to a press release, the synopsis is as follows:
Timberline Studios, Inc., challenges players to survive the Alaskan tundra with a team of five sled dogs. The Musher becomes lost while training for the grueling Iditarod race and must fend off bears, resist frostbite and take care of the dogs while navigating the wilderness and trying to return home. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.In the trailer we see a unique, stylized look to the game. The dogs that lead your character's sled is attacked by a grizzly bear and taken out. This is likely to draw focus to the rogue-lite nature of the game and emphasize life and death. There is also a female protagonist who narrates the trailer, and will likely do so in the game as well.
Get ready to mush away with The Red Lantern when it launches next year.
