Nier Reincarnation was originally released on February 18 in Japan, and now making its way to the West and will be available for pre-registration. Reincarnation is set in the same universe as Nier and its sequel Nier: Automata, the player takes on the role of a girl that's being guided by a ghost-like being called Mama. The girl wakes up on a cold stone floor and finds herself in a place where buildings touch the sky. The girl is told that she's in a place known as The Cage, and that she has to reclaim what she has lost and atone for her sins. That's a pretty heavy plot synopsis, but at least it's also intriguing.

As for the aforementioned pre-registration, you can go here to either register for the iOS App Store or for Android's Google Play variant. There's also a pre-registration promotion going on right now, with gems being given out to players at specific registration amounts. At 100k players 100 gems will be given out, 150k is 400 gems, 200k is 900 gems, 250k is 1.8k gems, and 300k is 3k gems.

As for how the game plays out, your characters fight by you tapping on the screen and issuing commands to them. If you're not into that, there's also an auto mode that has your characters attack enemies on their own.

Thanks, Gematsu.
