Shredder has joined the roster of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and that's not all that's been added today -- gamers can also hop into a brand-new stage based on the classic game show Double Dare.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a platform fighter featuring a bunch of classic cartoon characters, most of which come from Nickelodeon shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants. The game was first announced last summer and launched a few months later. Now, a new character and a new stage have entered the fray!

Dive Into Double Dare with Shredder in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

Today's Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl update adds two new features as reported on Reddit: Shredder has joined the cast as a playable character and a new stage based on the Double Dare game show has arrived.

Let's start with Shredder. The classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain was one of the characters discovered in a datamining effort. Garfield was another one of those datamined characters and he debuted late last year; that means that we may very well see one or more of the other datamined characters join the roster at a later date.

The other big addition to the game is a stage based on Double Dare, a children's game show that originally ran on Nickelodeon from 1986-1993. The show challenges players to answer trivia questions and complete physical challenges, culminating in an obstacle course. Double Dare had two short-lived revivals in 2000 and 2018.

These two new additions to the game give fighting game fans a fresh batch of content to enjoy. You can join in on the fun by buying Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl for PC and consoles via its official website at the price of $49.99 or your regional equivalent.

What do you think of the new additions to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl? What other classic cartoon characters would you like to see added to the game? Let us know in the comments below!
