Level-5 and Bandai Namco have released more information regarding the second large expansion for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.
Titled "The Tale of a Timeless Tome", the DLC will see the return of The Conductor from the first game. The enigmatic rabbit-headed figure will teach main character Evan the "Mind Picker" technique, a framing device for some of the DLC's new Character Episodes. Both Queen Nerea and Aranella will be the focus of these Character Episodes. They'll explore the memories of those particular characters.
The Conductor will also task players with rescuing the High Higgledies from a Nightmare threat. These little critters will also be able to participate in combat, participating alongside players as allies just like regular Higgledies do. On the subject of combat, the Martial Methods combat system introduced in the previous DLC will also get new stuff. Mages can delight in The Wizard's Companion, a Martial Method that emphasizes magic and calls back to the original Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Higgledy fans, meanwhile, can fill their boots with Martha's Method, which marshals the little fellows to perform an attack on your behalf.
Prepare to face the Nightmares, encounter a legendary spell book, and enter the arena for the Solosseum Slog!
