Are you ready to escape New York? Your inmates definitely are with the announcement of the latest Prison Architect DLC that's coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 22nd. Prison Architect DLC and updates have been releasing at a steady clip, with the previous DLC only releasing last month. It's actually pretty neat, as like Prison Architect: Undead, Prison Architect: Future Tech Pack is a mini-expansion that will run you $2.99 or your regional equivalent. Smaller concepts like this will definitely help keep the game fresh, as Prison Architect recently celebrated its 7th anniversary last month. At this rate, it'll reach 7 more years and still have enough DLC to shake a shiv at.

As for what you can expect from this DLC, there are plenty of technological upgrades to use against your inmates. These include a marvel track that comes equipped with a CCTV camera, a cone of light that strives to be as dramatic as possible, and a siren. You can even operate the searchlights yourself and start screaming that you'll search through every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in the area, just like Tommy Lee Jones.

Never ask this question.

Other cool additions include new floors, futuristic doors, and keycards, because it's time to fully enter the 21st century. Square floors are for squares, and your guards will no longer need keys, because keys are so 1981.

If you want to impose a true surveillance state in your prison, there are also glass walls you can use to monitor your inmates at all times. There's also a tracking belt so they won't be able to fart without a security team investigating a possible gas leak. I'm kidding about the last part, but you might not be. To drive home the effect that this isn't Kansas anymore, you can use two robot guard dogs, Subwoofer and Byte, which I'm sure will both have a bite far worse than their bark.
