The newest Rune 2 update has arrived to build on last week's Lazarus Update and it's got some pretty fun changes. While a number of small fixes have been added to the game, the developers have also taken the time to make Rune 2 a lot more brutal.
If you're unfamiliar with Rune 2, this is an epic RPG that has players facing off against the forces of the mischievous god Loki. The recent Lazarus Update included a massive overhaul to the game's combat and stamina. It also added villagers and villages to flesh out the world a bit and make it feel more alive.
Now, a follow-up Rune 2 update has brought graphical improvements of a sort to the game's combat system, namely by amping up the brutality.
What Are the Changes in the Newest Rune 2 Update?
A central feature of this new update is centered on improving gibbing. If you're unfamiliar with the term, "gibbing" is when an enemy explodes into a bunch of body parts after taking some serious damage. This update has increased the frequency of gibbing when using blunt weapons and more body parts should spawn overall when an enemy is gibbed.
The game's graphics have gotten some minor overhauls, too. Optimization on graphics, sound, and the game engine has been further increased, and high-end players will be happy to hear that support for 21:9 ultrawide monitors has also been improved.
There are a fair few smaller changes; make sure to read the patch notes for this newest Rune 2 update to check 'em all out!
