Seasun Games revealed today a brand new free-to-play game titled Snowbreak: Containment Zone.
The game is defined as an "RPG-shooter" and it'll come to PC, iOS, and Android in 2023. A global release with English localization has already been confirmed and pre-registration is already open on the official website. It appears that English voice acting will also be available alongside Japanese.
We also get a trailer providing a look at the game, which definitely leans into the well-tested "waifus + guns" combination.
You can watch it below.
Considering the success of games like Goddess of Victory: Nikke with similar premises, it's not so surprising that the genre is expanding further.
Snowbreak: Containment Zone is developed in Unreal Engine 4 and is set in 2057. The planet has been attacked by giant humanoid creatures named Titans. On top of the destruction directly wrought by the Titans, a polluting element that looks like snow has also appeared.
A corporation named Yggdrasil has built a wall around the area where this element is located and cordoned it off, naming it Area Zero. A special unit named "Heimdall" has also been formed to fight against the Titans and stop the spread of the snow-like substance.
The development team behind the game isn't new to this genre, as it's known for a similar game titled "Girl Cafe Gun." A global closed beta is said to be coming soon, so we should be able to test the game before long.
