We could very well be playing a new ToeJam & Earl game in the coming years -- HumaNature Studios is looking into creating a new title in the long-running franchise in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
ToeJam & Earl is a rather surreal series of games that's somewhat similar to Earthworm Jim, the latter of which is getting a brand-new game on the Intellivision Amico. Fans of ToeJam & Earl were graced with an all-new entry in the franchise back in 2019 and the inclusion of one of the older games on the Sega Genesis Mini.
It's been a couple of years since ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove was launched and HumaNature Studios has been relatively quiet on the future of the franchise. Now, it's revealed that its exploring creating a new ToeJam & Earl game -- but it needs your help to make it happen.
HumaNature Studios Surveys Fans About New ToeJam & Earl Game
HumaNature Studios has put out a survey about a new ToeJam & Earl game, asking fans what they would like to see in a new entry for the franchise.
"We are considering making new ToeJam & Earl games and wanna hear your thoughts!" read a tweet on the franchise's official account. "Should it be a new top down roguelike or a new platformer back on Funkotron.. maybe a combination of both?! Let us know in our 30th Anniversary survey!"
The survey linked in the tweet asks participants to detail which games they've played, which are their favorites, and which graphical style they prefer. HumaNature Studios also aims to collect some more detailed information about gameplay, and it couldn't help but throw in a few weird questions, too, such as asking whether Earl is sinking into sand or cheese.
You can fill out the new ToeJam & Earl game survey and make your voice heard for the future of the franchise, although bear in mind that there are no guarantees that a new game will actually be made.
