Survios and 20th Century Games are developing a new action-horror game where players will embark on a dangerous journey set in the historic Alien universe. It has been said that this game will take on an entirely new storyline that takes place between the first two Alien films.

Survios's experience creating VR games should do them well here, as their focus on immersion and keen attention to detail is essential to bringing a franchise to life. The developers will be using Unreal Engine 5 to make the game, giving a very different look and feel to the Alien world players have come to know. Survios has created some spectacular-looking games, such as Battlewake and Creed: Rise to Glory, which only adds to the excitement to see what's to come for Aliens. Chief Product Officer at Survios, TQ Jefferson, stated

"When I joined Survios in 2020, it was to build bigger, more ambitious games, using the best entertainment franchises across console, PC, and VR platforms. Aliens is a distinct and terrifying world that fans love to be entrenched in, and it is perfect for Survios’ proven expertise in creating immersive gaming experiences."

Luigi Priore, the vice president at Disney, Pixar, and 20th Century Games, said, "We're thrilled to work with a team like Survios who shares our passion for Alien, and for immersing fans into new worlds and experiences."

The Aliens franchise is known for its rich history in the gaming industry, and with releases such as Aliens: Fireteam Elite and the upcoming release of Aliens: Dark Descent, this game is yet another title that fans will be able to look forward to playing. Developers of Aliens: Fireteam Elite also recently announced that they would be implementing cross-play into the game later this month, on top of a new game mode called Restock Turrets.

There are no trailers available as of yet. Still, the developers announced that they would release more information about the game and its release on Jul 21, 2022, during the San Diego Comic-Con, where the "Alien: Expanding a Dark and Frightening Universe" panel will be taking place.
