Today Mages announced that it's developing another game inspired by the popular manga and anime The Quintessential Quintuplets.

The game is titled "Gotobun no Hanayome: Kanojo to Kawasu Itsutsu no Yakusoku" which translates as "The Quintessential Quintuplets: Five Promises to Exchange with Them," and it'll be released for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on September 7, 2023.

This is the third game of the series following “Eiga “Gotobun no Hanayome” Kun to Sugoshita Itsutsu no Omoide" and  "The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬: Natsu Omoide Mo Go-Tobun" released respectively in 2022 and 2021.

It's a visual novel defined as an "exciting summer vacation adventure" and goes back to the summer vacation theme, which it has in common with the first game.

The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer, which you can see below.

The game will be available in standard edition priced at 8,580 yen and limited edition priced at 12,980 yen. The latter comes with a whopping five drama CDs and five B5 clear files. That's quite appropriate as everything related to this franchise comes in quintuplets.

As usual, the original voice actors will reprise their roles, and we shouldn't hold our breath for a western release. The game has been announced only for Japan, and none of its predecessors has ever been localized in English. We may still hope, I suppose, but I wouldn't bet any money on it.

If you're interested in more visual novel news, Acid is working on bringing back the legendary game Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (also known as Rumbling Hearts) and has opened a Diascord server for gathering feedback in anticipation of the launch of the crowdfunding campaign for a new all-ages version.
