Today, Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara held a Livestream presentation entitled Pokémon Presents. The stream unveiled a number of new games coming to the Nintendo Switch and smart devices. Chief among them was the surprise announcement of a new Pokémon Snap game.

New Pokémon Snap will launch for Nintendo Switch and will see you photographing lots of Pokémon species, helping them to interact with one another and exploring the islands on which they live. We don't yet know when New Pokémon Snap will launch, but we'll bring you more as we get it. An official website for the game is already live showing screenshots of pokemon you'll encounter and a new photography protagonist.

Pokémon Presents - Smartphone Games

Pokémon Smile was also announced during today's Pokémon Presents live stream. It's a smartphone app that uses augmented reality to help kids learn to brush their teeth correctly. Kids can catch Pokémon and make progress through the game by using good brushing techniques. You can download it right now. It won't feature any in-app purchases.

Also announced was Pokémon Cafe Mix, a puzzle game. You're the owner of a cafe that Pokémon visit and you must fulfil their orders by solving puzzles which involve swirling around Pokémon icons. As you play, you'll gain helpers in the form of Pokémon, who can help you complete puzzles. Along the way, you'll also prepare a series of tasty drinks and other orders. You'll be able to expand your café and get new Pokémon visitors depending on your progress. Pokémon Cafe Mix will be available on Nintendo Switch and smart devices, but you can pre-load it today.

It's not just new games getting the love today, though - there's some Pokémon Go news to chomp up, too. Mega Evolution is coming to Pokémon Go. Niantic and Nintendo say they're working on a new version of Mega Evolution that will take into account Pokémon Go's gameplay. It'll come to the app sometime soon, and we'll have more info for you as we get closer to its release date. There is also a new event promoting Galarian Farfetch'd and avatar outfits to reflect the one trainers will get in the new Isle of Armor DLC out today.

Pokémon Presents - A New Raid Battle

To celebrate the launch of Pokémon Sword and Shield's latest DLC, a special Max Raid battle featuring legendary Pokémon Zeraora will be coming to the game from today. If one million players defeat Zeraora in Max Raid battles, everyone will have the chance to earn a shiny Zeraora. To learn more, Nintendo says you should check out the official Pokémon Sword and Shield website.

That's it for today's Pokémon Presents stream, but Ishihara says he and his company will have more to share on a big new project they're working on next week. Stay tuned for more info about that. In the meantime, let us know how excited you are about New Pokémon Snap in the comments below.
