Nintendo has released a new trailer detailing what we can expect from the three main Pokemon Scarlet and Violet story branches. In one, you'll be hunting down giant Pokemon known as Titans, while the other two revolve around gym battling and taking on Team Star.

What did we learn about the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet story branches?

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have been steadily drip-feeding Pokemon Scarlet and Violet info ahead of the games' impending November release. Last week, we got to meet feisty graffiti lemur Pokemon Grafaiai, but this week, it's all about what's going on in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet story.

A new trailer released earlier today focuses on the three main branches of the story, all of which have different objectives. The first concerns something called the Herba Mystica, which you'll be searching for alongside other students at your school. The second is a traditional Pokemon-style experience based on gym battling, while the third sees you taking on Team Star, a group of ruffians that are causing trouble for your school. You can check out the trailer right here.

What new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gameplay features did we learn about?

As well as the new story details, we also got some info about new gameplay features coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. While you're out and about, you can have one of your Pokemon accompany you while exploring. The new "Let's Go!" feature allows you to send that Pokemon off in a certain direction, letting them pick up items and engage in "Auto Battles" with nearby 'mons. You can choose whether to stick around for these battles or carry on your exploration endeavors.

After the Terastallization mechanic was revealed last month, this new trailer also confirmed that gym leaders in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will use that mechanic to transform their 'mons into a different type. The trailer gives the example of Grass-type gym leader Brassius, who uses Terastallization to turn his Rock-type Sudowoodo into a Grass-type.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Pokemon trailer without some new creature reveals. We got a look at two very Mega Man-inspired 'mons, Armarouge and Ceruledge, which will be exclusive to Scarlet and Violet respectively. Crab Pokemon Klawf was also unveiled, alongside a gigantic version of it that appears to be one of the Titans you'll be looking for in the Herba Mystica storyline. We also got a look at what might be a new Pokemon in a rather unusual form: the engine powering Team Star's leader's car appears to be a 'mon, although it wasn't officially unveiled during this trailer. Keep an eye out for it and you might spot it!

Armarouge and Ceruledge are two of the new Pokemon you can expect to meet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. They're giving Mega Man energy.

You'll be able to check out all of these new 'mons and features when Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launch on November 18th for Nintendo Switch. You can pre-order the games right now on the eShop if you like. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more info on all things Pokemon.
