The new Noble Pokemon Kleavor in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

A brand new Pokemon Legends: Arceus trailer has dropped, revealing plenty of new info about the game. New special types of Pokemon have been revealed, as well as new information about the Jubilife Village home base and what you can get up to there.

What did the new Pokemon Legends: Arceus trailer reveal?

Following on from last month's gameplay reveal for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, we got a look at some more features in the new trailer. The focus this time is on Noble Pokemon, creatures who have their own domains and regularly receive offerings from their wardens. Something is causing these Noble Pokemon to fly into a frenzy, and naturally, you'll have to help quell their rage. As part of the trailer's look at Noble Pokemon, we also got a look at a brand new 'mon: Kleavor, a pretty gnarly-looking Bug/Rock type. You can take a look at the new Pokemon Legends: Arceus trailer here to get a glimpse of Kleavor's destructive fury.

That's not all the new Pokemon Legends: Arceus info, of course. The trailer also revealed the existence of Alpha Pokemon, special red-eyed variants that are also larger than they normally would be. These Alpha types are extremely aggressive, so you'll need to steer clear of them. To help you do so, you'll have the Celestica Flute, which you can use to call special mount Pokemon: ground mount Wyrdeer, the water-based Basculegion, and Hisuian Braviary, who will grant you the power of flight. The mysterious Arc Phone device was also revealed; this device will apparently be helpful to you, although Game Freak is staying cagey as to how.

We also got a more in-depth look at the home base, Jubilife Village, and some of the things you can do there. You'll be able to customize your look by buying new clothes and switching up your hairstyle. When you're happy with your look, you can head to the photography studio and take some snaps with your Pokemon. Jubilife Village also has a pasture where Pokemon you're not currently using will hang out, as well as a crafting station and general store where you can buy and make new supplies for your journey. With all this new info, that Pokemon Legends: Arceus release date suddenly feels so much further away than January 28th.

New Pokemon Gen 4 remake details also announced

If you're more of a classic Pokemon fan, you'll be pleased to know we also got some new Pokemon Gen 4 remake details. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl also got a new trailer showcasing some of the stuff you can look forward to when they land later this year. This trailer focuses on the Poketch device; in the original DS versions of Diamond and Pearl, this device was situated on the bottom screen, but the Switch only has one screen, so now it can sit in the top right of your display. You can call it up with a button press, enabling you to access features like a pedometer, a Pokemon radar, and shortcuts to your Hidden Moves (HMs).

The Poketch in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl won't work quite the same way as the DS versions, but its functionality is intact.

The trailer also shows off the frankly adorable-looking Amity Square, in which you can take up to six of your Pokemon for a walk. While you're enjoying the scenery, you can also cook Poffins alongside your Pokemon. This food will boost your 'mon's stats, and if you cook with your buddies, it'll increase the potency of the Poffins, so it's definitely worth doing if you want the best out of your team. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl launch for Nintendo Switch on November 19th. Between this, Arceus, and the recent Pokemon Unite mobile release, you've got plenty to keep you busy if you're a Pokemon fan.
