Atlus USA has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming release of Persona 5. The North American social media arm of Atlus has also confirmed that Persona 5 is slated for a 2015 release.

This new trailer accompanies the conformation from Atlus that Persona 5 is coming to North America on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. This new information was released during the recent PlayStation Experience event. The original announcement trailer went up with the North American Persona 5 website early in 2014. An animated teaser trailer that showcased a character widely speculated as the protagonist was released only a few months ago during the Tokyo Game Show. There is still very little information showcasing what can be expected from the new game but with the new year rapidly approaching fans can expect a detailed breakdown of Persona 5 on the horizon. What has been shown is a general aesthetic of the environment and characters the inhabit the world.

Persona 5 is one of several highly anticipated titles coming out in 2015. The significance of the upcoming release comes as the first new edition of the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona franchise since Persona 4 which came out late 2008. There have been several re-releases and spinoff titles since then but Persona 5 will be the first wholly new, standalone Shin Megami Tensei: Persona game in many years. Check out the latest trailer below!
