A new trailer has been revealed for Kingdom Hearts III: Re Mind, the upcoming DLC for the game that will turn it into more of a Final Mix sort of deal. It gives us a much better idea on what the DLC will be adding to the already fantastic original game.
The first trailer gave a few hints, showing things like the Master of Masters having a chat with Young Xehanort, more opportunities to play as Riku and Aqua, a chance to play as Roxas, and a conversation between Luxord and Xigbar that seems like it will shed light on the history of both characters. Now we have a second, new, trailer that gives us a few more ideas as to what the DLC will include.
After a quick intro that shows some of the last level of Kingdom Hearts III, we move on to new content. We get to see more of the fight between Roxas, Axel, Xion, and Saïx, a fight that a lot of people felt was underwhelming in the original game and appears to be getting expanded upon. We also get to see one of the new boss fights, which appears to be Sora taking on a weird new version Xigbar. The fight includes a particularly interesting mini-game moment where Xigbar and Sora have an old fashion wild-west duel. There's more cutscenes shown off, including a new conversation between Aqua and Terra-Xehanort, another between Sora and Naminé, and a new fight between Terra-Xehanort and The Lingering Will. If any of these names mean anything to you, then you'll likely be excited, and if not then welcome to the land of confusion that is Kingdom Hearts.
Kingdom Hearts III: Re Mind will be launching "this winter" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's unknown how much the DLC will cost but it will be released alongside a free update.
