Genshin Impact Alhaitham

Today Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse revealed a new trailer focusing on one of the new characters who will come with the first update of 2023.

We take another look at Sumeru Akademiya's Scribe Alhaitham, but this time it's a lot less peaceful than his previous introduction. As a matter of fact, this trailer is all about his prowess in battle.

We already know that he will be included in the Caution in Confidence wish alongside another new character, the diminutive Yaoyao, on the same day the new update launches.

Alhaitham is voiced by Nazeeh H. Tarsha in English, and Yuichiro Umehara in Japanese. You possibly know him for voicing Siegfried Kircheis in The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, Goblin Slayer in Goblin Slayer, Eugene Sevenstark in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Kasim Al-Fayed in The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki and Ira in Kingdom Hearts 3

You can watch the trailer below and also take a look at the Japanese version

"On his self-coined term of "feeble," Alhaitham thought it was just an off-the-cuff remark, and never expected it to become a point of controversy. However, this is ultimately irrelevant. He is not concerned regarding other people squabbling over such frivolous matters, as it's not his time that is wasted."

The new update, numbered 3.4 and titled "The Exquisite Night Chimes," comes on January 18. it also includes new outfits for Lisa & Kamisato Ayaka. We even already know the characters that will be included in the next one, Dehya and Mika.

If you're unfamiliar with Genshin Impact, it's currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. A Nintendo Switch version has been announced a long time ago, but HoYoverse has gone under the radar with it and has not said anything since despite confirming multiple times that it hasn't been canceled. We'll have to wait and see if 2023 will finally be the year of Genshin on Nintendo's console.
