If you need a reason to start a new Days Gone playthrough, you're in luck. New Game Plus is coming to SIE Bend's open-world PS4 zombie extravaganza on September 13th. All you'll need to do to access New Game Plus in Days Gone is download a free update. You'll be able to replay the game with the following things intact from your previous playthrough:
- Weapons
- Bike upgrades
- NERO boosters
- Skills
- Recipes
- Encampment trust and credits
- Collectibles
- Trophy progress
In addition to New Game Plus, Days Gone is also getting a new set of trophies. These awards are directly linked to New Game Plus, Hard II, and Survival II. Sony is teasing a trophy related to a "mysterious new weapon from an agent that only operates in the shadows". Whether that's a Syphon Filter reference we don't know. Easter eggs have previously suggested that Days Gone takes place in the same universe as Syphon Filter, so perhaps the "agent" is that game's Gabe Logan.
Finally, collectibles barons Mondo have created a vinyl soundtrack for Days Gone. The soundtrack contains 25 unique tracks from the game and is pressed on 180-gram colored vinyl discs. You'll be able to pre-order the soundtrack from Mondo's website starting September 11th. In the meantime, you can check out TechRaptor's review of Days Gone right here.
