A new Frontier Developments game is reportedly in the works and we're likely to hear something about it in the next few months. A recent report sent out to investors talks about the status of the company's various projects including Planet Coaster and Elite Dangerous. Among the interesting bits of information is a single critical line from the report:

"The development of Frontier's fourth game franchise is on track, with release targeted for FY20 (between 1 June 2019 and 31 May 2020)."
That's straight from the horse's mouth—a new Frontier Developments game is on the way.

Frontier Developments CEO David Braben spoke with PC Gamer back in August and first spoke about the existence of this upcoming title. Unfortunately, the interview never made it past the print magazine, but WCCFTech transcribed the relevant portions of the interview:

"And then, of course, we’re hard at work on the fourth game. We’re not saying what that is yet, but we’ll say when it’s the right time, which will be a way off – probably either at the back end of the year or early next year. But obviously we’re excited about that as well, and with Jurassic World Evolution finishing, we’ll be kicking off other projects. We’ve already got a small team on the fifth game, we’re looking at it… so we have a nice flow-through."
As far as we can tell, this was the first public hint that a new Frontier Developments game was on the way. Since it was in the September 2018 issue and we're clearly past the end of 2018, chances are we'll be getting some kind of announcement on whatever this new game is in the coming months. Considering how much we liked Planet Coaster, let's hope that they can create something great once again.

What do you think the new Frontier Developments game will be? When do you think we'll see it? Let us know in the comments below!
