Announced on their blog, the next update for the popular Euro Truck Simulator 2 is right around the corner. The update 1.19 is in full closed beta testing at the moment and looks likely to go to a public beta next week. The update is specific to the add on Going East! and will contain more of the territory of Hungary. In particular, two new cities will be added in Pécs and Szeged. You can see some of the new routes that have been added below. While I myself have not played the game in question, from my understanding and discussions with those who do have it, Going East! is one of the critical DLC's to own, and to see more content to be brought to it is good to say the least.
On the blog they've included more screenshots like the ones below that seemingly add even more to the interesting case of Euro Truck Simulator 2, which has provided an example of the viability of simulator games being a reasonable and fun experience, as opposed to some of the less titles within the genre (with Grass Simulator being a prime example of that). No other details are unfortunately available at the time of this blog, as other tweaks or bug fixes have not been listed on the site.
Do you own Euro Truck Simulator 2 and does this new content excited you at all? Does any of our Hungarian audience (if it exists) interested in driving around in the virtual world that they may drive in real life in? Is there something I'm missing regarding Euro Truck Simulator 2 and why it's so popular, or am I just a scrub?
