DUSK has captivated the PC audience with its old-school FPS mechanics that pay homage to shooter royalty like Quake. A new post on the game's Steam community page thanks the community for its support of the game and reveals some future plans.

The most significant changes include new modes. The campaign will get a Co-Op update, in addition to a New Game +. The New Game + mode will likely have a greater challenge to it than ever before, but they did not go into specifics.

DUSKWorld is the game's multiplayer mode. Players of this mode will be pleased to hear that there is going to be Team Death Match and Capture the Flag modes added, in addition to the standard arena mode called DUSKWorld.

There's a hefty list of upcoming content on the way, including a Mac and Linux version. A DRM Free version of DUSK will be out at some point as well. Since DUSK isn't out on GOG yet - which prides itself in its entirely DRM-free offerings - it'll likely be on that storefront sometime in 2019.

In addition to OS support, there will be language localization, Steam Workshop Mods support, and ports to consoles. Once again, the post didn't go into the specifics, but the consoles will likely be PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, along with the confirmed Nintendo Switch port.

Lastly, there's a slew of new merchandise coming out in the future. Perhaps the most outlandish is a bar of bacon-scented soap with the game's logo on it. Soap can be found throughout each level in DUSK so it's not entirely random. A physical collector's edition, CD and vinyl soundtrack and additional merchandise on publisher New Blood Interactive's store will also be on the way at some point soon.

There will be even more content than what was disclosed in the post, too. DUSK, 3 years since its reveal, has come a long way.

Quick Take

I've been playing DUSK since around Christmas time and I've had a blast. It's a game to savor, hence why I'm still playing it. I'm excited to see the support DUSK is getting, and I can't wait to give it another go in New Game +.
