The new Chernobylite DLC "Blue Flames" will be launching in April 2022 alongside a PC Enhanced Edition and next-gen console versions of the game.
Chernobylite is a first-person shooter with RPG, survival, and horror elements that has players exploring the zone surrounding the doomed Chernobyl nuclear plant. Physics has gotten a little odd in the area and otherworldly monsters roam the land. It's your job to uncover the mystery of this strange new science without getting yourself or your team killed in the process.
The core game has been out for a while, but its developers are far from done with releasing new content. Developer The Farm 51 had revealed a DLC roadmap late last year and it has already released a free update featuring new monsters and the "Ghost Town" DLC. Now, a new piece of content is on the way in just two months.
The new Chernobylite DLC Blue Flames will feature three key parts according to the announcement. First and foremost is a new content update called "Memories of You" where players will learn more about the backstory of the protagonist and his wife through a series of collectibles and events. That will be supplemented by the new "Silent Assassin" crossbow weapon. A paid content pack will also be available; based on the developer's track history, this is likely to be a set of cosmetic weapon skins (although nothing has been explicitly confirmed just yet).
