Recently, it has been discovered that there is a game coming out for the Nintendo 3DS in just three days. Yes, you heard me: Silver Falls - 3 Down Stars is a brand new 3DS game that is coming out soon, and it actually looks pretty interesting.

In Silver Falls - 3 Down Stars, the story begins when three individuals are unaffected by three mysterious objects falling from the sky above Silver Falls. Somehow, the objects have turned the local wildlife rabid and have frozen the town within a specific moment in time. It is up to Holt, a composer who is grieving the death of his grandfather, Analise, an organizer for Silver Falls' annual Moose Steak Festival, and Moss, the local sheriff, who must discover the mystery behind the three objects and save their town before it is too late.

Silver Falls aims to recapture the horrific gaming thrills of the early 90's and 2000's. There will be limited ammunition and recovery items, and every fight with enemies can be fatal. Players will have to exhaustively search every corner of Silver Falls to discover all the weapons that they will be able to wield, and the story has multiple endings, with the player's decisions ensuring different results for each playthrough.

Interestingly, whenever a player dies they will be sent back to the beginning of the game's storyline, but the major accomplished objectives and items owned by the player will be kept. The in-game characters are also aware of this, relying on this groundhog day-style phenomenon to progress through the story. It is also directly used for problem solving and puzzles within the game.

For those interested in dusting off their 3DS', Silver Falls - 3 Down Stars will be released in North America on December 26, 2019, and in Europe, Asia, and Australia on January 9, 2020.
