Electronic Arts are known for microtransactions in most of their franchises, including FIFA, NHL, and the notorious Star War Battlefront II backlash. The developer is back at it again, and they are coming to the latest entry in the Need for Speed series, Need for Speed Heat. The title released in November 2019 with favorable reviews, considering it is the franchise's 25th anniversary.
Need for Speed Heat's update comes on January 28th, marking the third patch of 2020. The update adds a list of supported third-party steering wheels from the likes of Thrustmaster and Logitech. The long-requested chat wheel is making a comeback from the previous entry, Need for Speed Payback. The prominent addition to the game is the Keys to the Map.

This new addition allows players to reveal all action points on the in-game map, including collectibles, gas stations, and even all safehouses except for the story tied one. However, a small catch is that it is only available through real-life money.
The name gives it away – getting the Keys to the Map will uncover Palm City’s secrets. Available through a real money purchase, this will instantly reveal locations on the in-game map, including collectibles, activities, and gas stations.
It won’t complete any activities or collect street art for you, but their locations will be revealed. No need to slow down to explore. Plus, you will have access to all safehouses straight away except for one, which is unlocked through story progression
This is not everything as the update brings fixes to various reported issues while teasing the next update as well. EA plans to add even more cars to Need for Speed Heat's already impressive roster, but we will have to wait a little longer before any new details pop up.
