The NBA series of basketball games is making the jump to the PlayStation 5. Starting back in November 1999, the 2K21 version of the long-running officially-licensed basketball games will be arriving to the PS5 this Fall 2020.
The trailer, which features pre-alpha gameplay footage, shows off Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans dribbling around the court and shooting hoops as a high-energy hip-hop song plays in the background. The trailer doesn't give any concrete details about what sets this game apart from the other NBA games, but it does give us a nice look at the game's graphics engine. We can also likely expect an updated roster based off of real-life players. It'll be interesting to see how different this game will be given the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic. We've already seen the bizarre effects the pandemic had on the previous entry's ability to simulate real-life matches.
NBA 2K21 will arrive on court sometime this Fall 2020 for the PlayStation 5.
