NASCAR HEAT 3

Announced at this past weekend's Coke Zero Sugar 400 race, developer 704Games unveiled the follow up to last years excellent NASCAR title, NASCAR HEAT 3. Fans of all things NASCAR will be thrilled to see the inclusion of this years dirt track circuit dubbed “Xtreme Dirt Tour” among a more robust single player campaign, and improved online multiplayer. NASCAR HEAT 3 brings much more to the table than previous installments.

I had a chance to play the game at this past E3 and left with a very solid impression. As someone who still considers Dirt to Daytona to be one of the greatest video games of all time, NASCAR HEAT 3 offers some of the best dirt track racing I’ve played this generation.  After slamming my sprint car into the first turn, I quickly realized the time and care developer 704Games put into the game and that this wasn’t just a cosmetic overhaul with dirt and a smaller track. Dirt track racing feels like it should and that’s something any racing fan can appreciate.

The Xtreme Dirt Tour will feature studio created tracks as well as some real race tracks re-imagined to work with a dirt racing environment.  This will bring the total number of tracks in the game to a whopping 35.  With the additional tracks, dirt racing circuit, improvements on the single player campaign and online multiplayer, and an eSports focus, NASCAR HEAT 3 is the biggest NASCAR game yet.  In addition to the new circuit, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will all be completely playable in both the racing and team management capacity

In addition to the game, gamers who purchase NASCAR HEAT 3 will also receive a $50 voucher towards a race ticket. For fans of NASCAR and racing in general this is a great deal.

In the video above, I interview one of the devs from 704Games and go over the new features coming to NASCAR HEAT 3, my love of dirt racing, and what separates this from last years entry.

NASCAR HEAT 3 will be available on September 7th for the Xbox One, PS4, and Steam.  The game will feature Xbox One X and PS4Pro enhancements.
