Developer Pathea Games has announced a new wishlist reward for the upcoming life sim My Time at Sandrock. In order to celebrate the game reaching 400k wishlists on Steam, two new romanceable characters, one male and one female, will be added.

Who are the new My Time at Sandrock romanceable characters?

Per an official My Time at Sandrock Steam announcement, these two new characters will join the game's romance candidates at launch. The first is Ernest, a handsome blonde bachelor intrigued by the story of the bandit Logan. Your second new romanceable character is Jane, a teacher making a journey home to Sandrock and potentially looking for love. Pathea says they'll both have "stories to share" if you get close to them.

That's not all, though. Pathea says there's one more wishlist goal on the horizon for My Time at Sandrock. If the game manages to garner 500k wishlists (that's just 100k more) before the Early Access release happens, then every eligible adult in the town will be a romance option. If you like the sound of that, then head over to the game's Steam page and get wishlistin'.

When is the My Time at Sandrock release date?

The My Time at Sandrock release date is, unfortunately, currently unknown. The devs say they're intending to release the Early Access build in early 2022. Since its announcement way back in October 2020My Time at Sandrock has undergone two major delays, with its original release date of March 2021 turning out to be far more difficult to hit than Pathea anticipated. There's clearly an audience for this game, though; by December 2020, just two months after its announcement, My Time at Sandrock had garnered 100k Steam wishlists, leading to Pathea adding makeup customization.

My Time at Sandrock is currently slated to arrive sometime early next year.

A new development update is scheduled for later this week, so if you're after more My Time at Sandrock news, be sure to keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, you can pick up Sandrock's predecessor My Time at Portia on Steam right now. If you like wholesome, cozy games like Stardew Valley or Hokko Life, this one should be right up your street.
