Mutan Insight is hiring. While that's not news in of itself, what they're hiring for is pretty interesting, as they're hiring for a "high-end RPG remake" for the PlayStation 5 on the Unreal Engine 5. Just off of that it's tough to tell what the remake could possibly be, but considering they've worked on Final Fantasy XV's Episode Ardyn DLC, perhaps they're working on the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake?
Honestly, who knows, but the project is hiring for a lot of roles right now, including a 3D motion designer, 3D art director, 3D background designer, and 2D character designer. The developer (which is a subsidiary of Mutan) have worked on character models for the Atelier and Blue Reflection series, as well as background models for Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth among others.
Basically, they haven't ever really been the lead developer on a massive project before, but they have worked on a bunch of projects you might know of.
As for the positions themselves, it looks like Mutan Insight will be creating cutscenes that will play out in real-time graphics, and are looking for job applicants with experience in motion capture. Given that the translation is from Japanese to English via Google Translate, the translation unsurprisingly leads to some pretty funny translations, with the company asking for a "Personal image you want" with "Responsible person" right underneath it. Nice.
Other than that, there's not much revealed from these job applications. I'd normally say that we'll probably find out more about this project next year, but given that it's an big-budget RPG it could easily be another few years before we find out what it is.
