Owlcat Games has announced plans for a third Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous DLC pack. The studio says it's also committing to a full second season of DLC for the RPG, including new updates, so if you love some Pathfinder, you won't have to say goodbye to it for a while yet.
What will this third Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous DLC pack be?
This news came alongside yesterday's reveal of Owlcat's brand new Warhammer RPG Rogue Trader. Along with the Rogue Trader announcement, Owlcat also confirmed that it doesn't plan to stop working on Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous anytime soon. The Russian studio says it is "capable of working on multiple projects" thanks to recent growth, and that working on Rogue Trader won't affect its ability to create content for Pathfinder. As such, Owlcat is working on the third major DLC pack for its RPG, as well as the console versions of the game.
As well as the third DLC pack, Owlcat also says it's not planning to stop releasing new updates anytime soon. Perhaps more excitingly, however, the devs say they've scheduled "a brand-new set of DLCs" which they're calling Season 2. More information is forthcoming after the release of the third DLC, which will follow on from March's Inevitable Excess pack. We don't have any information about exactly what we can expect from this third DLC pack or from Season 2, but it's safe to start getting excited if you're a Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous fan.
What is Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous?
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a followup to Owlcat's isometric RPG Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Announced in late 2019 and successfully Kickstarted just a day after its crowdfunding campaign was launched, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous expands on Kingmaker's mechanics and setting. It adds new character classes, a new mythic progression tree, and adjustments based on criticisms and feedback received from Kingmaker players. Since launch, the game has been regularly updated, with content drops adding new portraits, plenty of bug fixes, and lots more.
You can grab Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous right now on Steam, where it'll cost you $49.99 or your local equivalent. We'll likely learn more about Owlcat's plans for the third upcoming DLC pack in the next few weeks, so naturally, we'll bring you more on that as soon as we get it.
