We’re counting the days until we get all of the juicy details about the Nintendo Switch, most of which will be revealed on January 12th, including pricing and firm release dates. For those of us who will want even more, a second, more detailed Nintendo Treehouse presentation has been announced for the following day, January 13th.

The in-depth presentation will air 6:30 a.m. Pacific Time, 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time in the U.S. A deeper look into upcoming releases is all that has been promised, with no clues about which games will be shown. On the same day, there will also be an invite-only event in New York to let some lucky participants try out the new system for themselves. This first hands-on event is set to run January 13th through the 15th, with a public event on the final day in New York City.

According to a press release from Nintendo, there will be several of these hands-on events across North America in the coming months, each concluding with a day the public can attend. The dates of the public events are listed on Nintendo’s site, although most don’t have many details available yet. The new system will also be playable at PAX South (January 27th – 29th in San Antonio), PAX East (March 10th – 12th in Boston), and SXSW (March 16th – 18th in Austin).

Rumors about the Nintendo Switch, its games, pricing, and capabilities have naturally been running rampant as the reveal event approaches next week, so it will be nice to get confirmed details on January 12th.  The follow-up event should be a great way to dig in and see what the Switch can really do. Nintendo has taken to giving a general presentation followed by lengthy demonstration lately, even using it during E3 to great success with titles like Splatoon.

Are you able to attend one of the public showings of the Nintendo Switch? What games do you hope we get to see a ton of during the January 13th presentation? Let us know in the comments!
