Idea Factory International announced today that Monster Monpiece will be getting a Steam beta to test the game out on as many different system configurations as possible. This beta follows the typical M.O. for IFI published titles coming to Steam that get betas. Those interested can send an email detailing the specs on their system, their Steam username, and agree to their closed beta terms and conditions. Naturally, they don't want you streaming or reviewing the closed beta either. The closed beta period is currently slated to start between August 8th and last to September 2nd, though this may change at some point.  Monpiece originally released digital only on the PlayStation Vita back in 2014 in North America.

Monster Monpiece is a card battle RPG game where you pit monster girls in the form of cards against each other.  You can use their skills and potentials to turn the tide of battle in your favor, and even warm them up for battle using a "first crush" interactive mode.

Monster Monpiece on Steam will feature all of the cards and artwork from the Japanese release which were not present on the North American PS Vita release. Unfortunately, it appears that there will be no online multiplayer. Seems you can't win them all.

IFI currently plans to release Monster Monpiece sometime in the fall on PC. IFI typically announces final release dates not too long after beta periods end, but these are within short order before release. The coming of Monster Monpiece to Steam marks the final title that was announced to be coming to Steam from IFI's press event in San Francisco that was held at the start of December of 2015, the other two being Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart and Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed, both of which have been released already.

This has been shaping up to be quite a busy year for Idea Factory International.  Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls is also due out this fall for PS Vita, MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death is releasing very soon: September 13th, and now has limited edition preorders open.  Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force, the PlayStation 4 based enhancement of Fairy Fencer F just released (which we also reviewed.)  Not to mention, they released Megadimension Neptunia VII on both PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam to boot.
