Capcom recently announced that the newest entry in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter World, has surpassed 13 million units shipped and sold since its release in early 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release in August 2018.

The most popular entry in Capcom's series, Monster Hunter World took the series to an open world type format with large areas available to roam in and hunt the various monsters. Designed with online play in mind, World lets friends team up and hunt down monsters in rich ecosystems. The game uses a trip to the new world to give a different feel while keeping many of the core mechanics intact. The design in Monster Hunter World aims to be a bit more approachable than the rest of the series. With over 13 million units shipped and sold, this appears to have succeeded.

To celebrate, Capcom has announced that between July 25th and August 29th there will be a special login bonus available to all players. Here's what it will include:

  • 1x Attack Jewel (a valuable decoration to enhance weapons or armor that gives them the Attack Boost skill)
  • 13x Appreciation Tickets (exchangeable for certain equipment)
  • 13x Silver Egg (an item sold for 10k money)
  • 3x Gold Wyverian Print (exchanged for rare items at the melding pot)
  • 3x Heavy Armor Sphere (an upgrade item for armors)

That's a lot of useful gear for players. It gives a lot of flexibility so that you can get what will help you. That flexibility will be useful as it will arrive before the Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion which releases in September. Quick Take

I've been playing some Monster Hunter World and thoroughly enjoying it. The game is a blast to play and get a handle on. For that reason, it's great to see it doing well financially as well. I'm also really looking forward to that log in bonus!
