Capcom has announced that the worlds of Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 are crossing over, with one of the latter franchise's most iconic fighters making his way to the action-RPG as a set of armor.
The history of Monster Hunter collaborations is a storied one indeed; the franchise has collaborated with the likes of mecha franchise Zoids, the guitar company Fender, and YouTuber MrBeast in the last couple of years alone.
Now, Capcom can add Street Fighter to that list, as a new set of armor based on the demon fighter Akuma is being added to Monster Hunter Wilds as a set of layered armor on May 28th (that's next Wednesday).

Akuma will be available as part of the game's new Ultimate Strength mission, for which you'll need to have reached HR 21 or higher. You'll need to speak to Quinn at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp to kick off the mission. Two additional missions, Demonic Strength and True Strength, are also available for extra goodies.
Once you've obtained the Akuma armor, you can equip it either as a normal set of armor or as layered armor. Either one will allow you to use Akuma's unique actions, which aim to recreate the fighter's moveset from Street Fighter 6.
As well as Akuma, the collaboration is also bringing a rather cute-looking set of "Blanka-Chan" Palico armor and layered equipment, so you can give your little feline pal a look based on Street Fighter 6's Blanka (albeit a chibi-fied version of him).
The Akuma and Blanka armor sets will be free, and they'll also be permanent additions to Monster Hunter Wilds, so you don't need to worry about missing out on them. Extra paid DLC will also be available if you fancy spending some cash, though, with Chun-Li and Cammy outfits, plus extra themed goodies, up for grabs.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available right now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Street Fighter 6 collaboration update arrives on May 28th.
