We now have a Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Title Update 2 release date. The new update, which will add new monsters, new cosmetic options, and much more, is launching as a free addition to the expansion later this month, so you don't have much longer to wait.

When is the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Title Update 2 release date?

Not long after we got the first Sunbreak title update, a second has now been scheduled. The Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Title Update 2 release date is September 29th, so make sure to add that to your calendar if you're excited to take on the update's brand-new monsters and challenges.

First up, the new Violet Mizutsune monster is being added in this update. It uses fluid it secretes to slide around on the ground and traps its prey in gas-filled bubbles. You'll also be able to take on the Flaming Espinas and Risen Chameleos, both of which should prove an ample challenge to your hunting skills.

The Violet Mizutsune and other monsters should prove an ample challenge for you in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Title Update 2.

As well as these new monsters, the update will also bring further content for the Anomaly system, expanding Anomaly quests and crafting so you can boost your armor and weapons even further. Not only that but there's a new Layered Weapons system that lets you transform your favorite weapons with wacky, outlandish skins like dango or corn on the cob.

Of course, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Title Update 2 is also bringing more paid DLC with it, including extra layered weapons and armor to buy, as well as new hairstyles, stickers, and other cosmetics. That stuff isn't free like the update itself is, but it'll launch around the same time, so make sure to keep an eye out for it.

You can grab Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak right now on Steam or on the Nintendo eShop. You'll need the base Monster Hunter Rise game to play it, of course, so make sure you've got that. If you're just getting started in the world of Capcom's latest monster-slaying sim, make sure to check out our Monster Hunter Rise guides, which should help you get your bearings.
