Monster Hunter Now is making the rounds with another wave of new content as part of their newest season: Curse of the Wandering Flames. Capcom and Niantic have dropped a bunch of new information alongside its release - including a new cooking feature - which is live as of this posting.

For those versed in the Monster Hunter series, cooking is a known staple of those games. It's finally made its way over to Monster Hunter Now as a feature that lets you cook using Raw Meat, which can be obtained as a supply item in the in-game shop. Cook up some Raw Meat to make Well-Done Steaks, which can be consumed to let you start a hunt with the Special Gauge at maximum for up to five minutes.

That said, if you mess up during your cooking session, you might end up with Raw Meat, Rare Steak, or Burnt Meat, the latter of which can still be used to hunt with a max gauge for at least one minute. Two pieces of Raw Meat can be collected daily from the in-game shop, so keep that in mind. You can also hold up to ten pieces of Raw Meat, Well-Done Steak, Rare Steak, and Burnt Meat.

Another addition this season in Monster Hunter Now is the introduction of the heavy bowgun, which includes Heavy Bowgun Training Quests. Complete these quests to earn Heavy Bowgun Training Tickets, which can be used to forge and upgrade the Bone Shooter.

This particular event will last from September 12 through November 30, 2024 at 2:59PM UTC. Other rewards include gatherable materials such as the Monster Bone+, Zenny, and Season Tier points.

From that same starting point, players can add an additional 250 slots with the Item Box Expansion, which will be available as a supply item in the shop. For a limited time, they can also claim an additional 1000 Item Box Expansion slots, 10,000 Zenny, and three Ultra Hunting Tickets through September 22.

Monster Hunter Now's new season will also introduce new monsters on the field. By completing urgent quests, players can unlock Aknosom, Magnamalo, and Rajang. These quests will also unlock Mizutsune and Nightshade Paolumu, who have only appeared in events until now. Some monsters will temporarily disappear from the field once Season 3 begins, but they can be unlocked once more by completing the accompanying story quests.

The new season will also feature some social activities, including a campaign on X (Twitter). Simply check out the official account over there, help it reach 5,000 reposts and unlock an offer code. This will include a number of items such as Potions, Machalite Ore, Dragonite Rre, earth crystals, Monster Bone+, and Weapon Refining Parts.

There's a new streamer mode too that'll let players stream Monster Hunter Now gameplay online without giving away sensitive information such as location data. Simply enable this mode in Settings and your ID and location information will be restricted.

Monster Hunter Now is currently available for iOS and Android platforms. More information can be read over at the official blog.
