There's a bit of bad news for fans of monster battle games — the Monster Harvest release date has been delayed yet again, this time by more than a month.

Monster Harvest is an upcoming game developed by Maple Powered Games and published by Merge Games. First revealed during 2020's Future Games Show, it was originally targeting a late Spring 2021 launch. It was subsequently delayed until July 8, 2021, in order to add more features to the game; now, Merge Games has announced that the game has been pushed back for the second (and hopefully last) time.

"Delays are awful, we are sorry to let down our friends and fans, yet we want to make sure we dispatch Monster Harvest in the best shape possible so that our whole community will enjoy it," Maple Powered James joint owner Kerry Vandenberg said in a press release.

Whereas the previous delay was to give the developers time to add more features, this particular delay is for a different reason: translation. The devs want to ensure "high-quality support for as many regions as possible" right out of the gate due to a need to add language support for Latin America and Eastern Europe.

When is the New Monster Harvest Release Date?

The new Monster Harvest release date is August 19, 2021. The game will be launching for PC and consoles. Fortunately, it looks like Maple Powered Games doesn't expect any additional delays.

"We realized how important it is to ensure high-quality support for as many regions as possible right from launch day, even if that means having to push back our release date by just over a month," Vandenberg said in a press release. "We are shipping the game by August 19th, with no further days and it’ll be worth it when we show what we have in store for you."

For now, you can add Monster Harvest to your wishlist on Steam. You can also learn more about the game on its official website. You'll be able to play it on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch when it launches next month.
