Cris Tales

Modus Tales has announced a Cris Tales delay, which means the game they describe as an "indie love letter to classic JRPGs" will be launching this July instead of early this year. What is Cris Tales? Check out this quote:

Cris Tales is an era-bending JRPG where past, present and future are brought together on one screen. Players can use Crisbell’s amazing ability to slip between time periods to both aid citizens across Crystallis’ kingdoms and perform surprise attacks on enemies. If Crisbell wants to save her magical world from the evil that threatens it, she must make use of her power to shape the past, present and future while gathering allies that will help her in her quest.

Crisbell's magical allies include Matias the Frod and Willhelm the Child Mage that will help the player with each fight in different ways. Each fight can be won by either buffeting them with attacks or by discovering unique ways to use Crisbell's powers to alter each fight's reality. While Crisbell explores the world with these companions she'll have to make choices with far-reaching consequences that the player will experience in over 20-hours of gameplay.

Cris Tales release date is this July on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG and Stadia for $39.99. You can also pre-order the Cris Tales Collector's Edition for $99.99, which includes the game, a 60-page art book, a Matias Plush, 4 enamel character pins, 3 character stickers, 2 lithographic art prints, a "peek-a-boo" game sleeve, a collector's box, and a digital download that includes 4 desktop wallpapers, 8 phone wallpapers, and 10 character avatars.
