Mobile RPG Street Fighter: Duel is getting a worldwide release. The game, which was released last year in China, is an RPG in which you assemble teams of three Street Fighter characters to take on various challenges. We don't have a release date for it yet.

What do we know about the Street Fighter: Duel Western release?

The launch of Street Fighter: Duel in the West was announced during the Capcom Pro Tour North America East event. Beyond the fact that the game is coming to the rest of the world at some point in the future, we don't know a lot about its global release just yet. We'll have to wait and see if Capcom and partners Topjoy and Tencent reveal a Street Fighter: Duel release date soon.

What is Street Fighter: Duel?

When it does arrive, Street Fighter: Duel will bring with it a combat-heavy RPG with a full campaign. Several fan favorite characters from the Street Fighter franchise make an appearance, including Ryu, Cammy, M. Bison, Guile, and more. There are also a good few original characters to get to know, so even if you're familiar with the Street Fighter roster, there will be a few surprises for you. All in all, there are more than 30 Street Fighter characters from which to choose your team.

Street Fighter: Duel will use character outfits from Street Fighter IV, alongside new street-inspired aesthetics.

Street Fighter: Duel offers a unique combat experience based around 3v3 turn-based battling. You'll take advantage of combo attacks and quicktime events to get the drop on your opponents. The game also boasts a visual overhaul for many of the characters, giving them street-inspired fashions to wear alongside their standard combat garb. If you don't like the new outfits, though, Street Fighter: Duel uses the default character appearances from Street Fighter IV, so you'll still see your favorite fighters' iconic looks.

When is the Street Fighter: Duel release date coming?

Sadly, we don't yet have any idea exactly when Street Fighter: Duel will release in the West. However, the fact that it's been announced for non-Chinese territories should be cause for optimism if you're hoping for any other China-exclusive mobile games to get global launches. Here's hoping Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat makes its way West sometime soon. We'll bring you more on the Western launch date for Street Fighter: Duel as soon as we get it.
