Minecraft gives players the opportunity to build ridiculously large recreations of their favorite places from real life or fiction. Today's notable build is on a much smaller scale, with a recreation of Pelican Town's town square from the hit farming sim Stardew Valley.
Posted on the Stardew Valley Reddit by 'rwww_', this Minecraft build is a simple yet charming recreation of the main town square area, where many players go through as they do their shopping or exploring. Pelican Town is the small rural community where your character makes their home in Stardew Valley after quitting their office job. It's very small as towns go, with only around two dozen people living there, but it's more than capable of providing everything your character needs to start up their farm and eventually make ridiculous amounts of cash selling starfruit wine.
The town square build has all of the major buildings in the area, such as Pierre's shop, Harvey's Clinic, Pam and Penny's trailer, the Stardrop Saloon, Lewis' house, and three other homes where several other Pelican Town residents live. Despite having the town's river and the three bridges, the buildings that show up on the same map as the town square don't show up. That means no community center, no Joja Mart, no library/museum, and Clint's forge doesn't make an appearance. The creator said that this project they've done in their past time was a lot of fun, and they may continue building on it in the future. Whether that means a complete recreation of the town or simply adding in the extra buildings around the town square is uncertain.
Minecraft's next major update, part 2 of the Caves and Cliffs update, is planned to release sometime around the holiday season.
