The Minecraft Dungeons Festival of Frost event is here, bringing back some Chills and Thrills seasonal trials and giving the Tower an icy makeover.

Minecraft Dungeons is an action RPG set in the world of Minecraft. The game launched the Hidden Depths and Echoing Void DLCs last year, but the most surprising change was the reveal that it was launching on Steam. The fun is not over yet, though -- a new event is here for the next couple of weeks!

What's New in the Minecraft Dungeons Festival of Frost Event?

There's some new content in the Minecraft Dungeons Festival of Frost event, but not everything is brand-new -- some content from the Chills and Thrills event will be making a return for a limited time.

Let's start with the new stuff: the Festival of Frost event is introducing some new challenges for players to overcome in this event. Furthermore, the Tower is changing up a bit -- a new 21-floor, ice-themed configuration is here to challenge you.

There's good news if you've missed the earlier Chills and Thrills event, too. Some of the event's challenges (and, as a result, its rewards) are returning for the Festival of Frost, giving players a second chance to score some goodies. This event is also launching a patch that fixes some bugs with the game. You can read about all of the changes in the full Minecraft Dungeons 1.13.1.0 patch notes.

When is the Minecraft Dungeons Festival of Frost Event End Date?

The Minecraft Dungeons Festival of Frost event end date is February 22, 2022. That means you have a little over two weeks to play it.

Minecraft Dungeons Sales Surpass 15 Million Copies

Festival of Frost aside, Mojang has also announced that Minecraft Dungeons sales have surpassed 15 million copies on all platforms. While that's just a fraction of the hundreds of millions of units moved by Minecraft, it's still pretty impressive for a spinoff.

You have around two weeks to enjoy the Festival of Frost limited-time event, so don't delay! You can buy Minecraft Dungeons for PC and consoles via its official website starting at $19.99 or your regional equivalent.
