Mind Zero is Coming to Steam

Mind Zero is coming to Steam according to an announcement by localization company Aksys Games.

Mind Zero is a dungeon-crawling JRPG. Players assume the role of high school sophomore Kei Takanashi who forms a contract with a "MIND". MIND, or Major Inner Node Displacement, are creatures from the Inner Realm with an aggressive demeanor.

These living weapons can stand in for the characters during combat, and any damage taken is reflected by a loss in MP rather than HP. Players can elect to pull their MIND back in order to regenerate their MP. If a character's MP is reduced to zero while a MIND is active, that player will be knocked out for one turn and unable to summon their MIND for another two turns.

Players can choose to move between the Outer Realm (modern day Japan and the domain of humans) and the Inner Realm (a mysterious shadowy dimension occupied by MINDs). Gameplay will consist of the standard expected RPG fare of bouncing between the safety of the Outer Realm and dungeon-diving in the Inner Realm. Combat will engage when players encounter an enemy while exploring a dungeon, and battles will use a familiar turn-based system.

There will be over 40 hours of gameplay in Mind Zero. The Steam version of the title will feature both English and Japanese voice acting.

Aksys ran a successful Steam Greenlight campaign for Mind Zero in September 2014. The discussion page for the Steam Greenlight campaign had some people concerned that the port had been cancelled or was delayed.

Mind Zero was developed by Acquire and Zerodiv and will be coming to Steam on March 8th, 2016 . It was originally released for the Playstation Vita in May of 2014.

What do you think of Mind Zero being ported to Steam? Do you think this particular JRPG will see success on the platform? Let us know in the comments below!
