Mighty No 9

Ever since the Kickstarter completed, we've been eagerly awaiting any news or screenshots we can get our hands on. The game, which is reminiscent of Mega Man - primarily because it's being developed by the original creator, has a huge following after an immensely successful Kickstarter campaign. After raising over $3.8 Million (well over the $900,000 goal), we've waited for each and every update.

This week...we got some in-progress gameplay footage - and it looks awesome! Check it out below!

The developers are pushing out updates regularly, and this is one that we've obviously gotten incredibly excited over. The video, which shows the Mighty No. 2 and Mighty No. 5 stages, is jam-packed with what we have to look forward to!

Keiji Inafune is the original creator of Mega Man, and you can easily see the resemblance in the series that he had given the majority of his career to. With the blaster resembling that of Mega Man himself, Mighty No. 9 fights his way through the stages we've been shown in a grand fashion. The graphics and side scrolling look fantastic, and the dash adds ways to take down enemies and avoid obstacles (Although some people complained of it being able to be used too easily, this is still only an early look at the game)!

The game is certainly progressing along well, and we'll keep you appraised of any more big updates!

What did you think of the video? Are you excited for Mighty No. 9?
