In the recent preview posted earlier today, the team revealed that the Mighty No 9 beta will be coming to an end soon. Since the game was successfully funded on October 1st 2013, the backers have waited a long time to get the full release, and it won't be long now before they finally do.
In the preview, they have confirmed that they have finished work on all the levels planned for the release version. While "some places still need filling in," the pre-final beta contains mains story missions, online race battles, and the challenge mode. An ending to the story is even promised, though placeholders for some of the still art. They also tease at there being even more content that they're leaving as a surprise.
The modern homage to the classic Mega Man series has had a rocky road on its way to release. Keiji Inafune and his all-star team of veteran devs have been hard at work for over a year to bring this game to life. Inafune-san has worked especially hard as he has been going over "every detail with a fine-toothed comb, from difficulty balance to the cutscene presentations." Soon we will finally know if the time and money were worth it.
