Third-party developers have shared news and releases about upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons, focusing on airports and airfields.
We start with Egilsstaðir Airport (BIEG) in Iceland by ST Simulation. While it's a small airport serving the East of the island nation and mostly home to local flights to Reykjavík, it actually does international services and will start getting seasonal flights operated by Condor this year.
It's available on Simmarket for $10.8 plus applicable VAT.

Next, we get two airfields on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, United States, Katama Airpark and Trade Wind. Both are available on the developer's own store and while Katama costs £10.95, Trade Wind is actually free.

- There are tens of thousands of carefully placed assets, every fence, picnic table and tree, along with an assortment of visitors and staff, has been placed in the correct location ensuring an atmosphere of a working airfield.
- High resolution colour corrected ground textures taken from Bing maps and manipulated for consistency and realism which far surpasses the quality of the stock Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 ground texture.
- Based on 2022 layout with accurate runway markings, taxiways and a working custom Windsock.
- Highly detailed resturant and hangar interiors and animated hangar doors which close and open between dawn and dusk.

Last, but not least, GearDown Simulations released the first images of Campo dos Amarais–Prefeito Francisco Amaral State Airport (SDAM), serving Campinas, Brazil. It's another smaller airport focusing on general aviation. It will soon begin beta testing.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, including Game Pass.
