Third-party developers provided news about three upcoming airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and they're all down under. That's quite appropriate considering that the World Update 12 New Zealand is coming soon

We start with Christchurch International Airport (NZCH) by NZA Simulations, which received plenty of new screenshots from one of the team's testers zkdos. The airport is the third-busiest in the country hosting plenty of airline and cargo flights, both domestic and international.

The screenshots that you can see below are from a release candidate version. While this means that they're still subject to change, the airport should be close to finished. In fact, it'll launch alongside the World Update in late February. This add-on has been in development for a long time, and it's really nice to see it this close to its final release. It certainly looks fetching.

Next, we move westward a bit with Impulse Simulations, which released screenshots of two of its upcoming airports in Australia. The first is Alice Springs Airport (YBAS), a regional airport in the Northern Territory of the country and the 18th busiest in terms of passenger traffic. It hosts scheduled flights from multiple local airlines and perhaps the most interesting feature is that it's a major storage facility for mothballed aircraft serving the Asia Pacific region.

The second airport showcased is Newcastle Airport (YWLM). If the ICAO code isn't enough of an indication, this isn't Newcastle airport in the UK, but the one serving Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. The screenshots showcase the interior of the terminal.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, including Game Pass.
