Microsoft has created a full-fledged platform with its popular sim Microsoft Flight Simulator, and hundreds of third-party developers are creating countless add-ons to enrich its skies.
Of course, this means that keeping track of the news from so many studios is rather laborious. Fear not, as starting today we're going to do that labor (of love) for you, providing a daily summary of all the reveals and updates released by Microsoft itself and by the third-party development community.
We start with Blue Bird Simulations which released a new video of its upcoming Boeing 757, which is still slated for release between Q3 and Q4, 2023. This time around, we take a look at the engines startup procedure. It's worth mentioning that this is work-in-progress. There are elements that need to be fixed or adjusted in the coming months and the sounds are still default placeholders.
Next, Pilot Experience Sim released the first images of the instruments and cockpit of its Maule M-7-235. The developer claims that all the elements of this general aviation light aircraft have been reproduced realistically, making it a "study-level" add-on. Work on the audio is also almost complete.
The interior is finished and currently being checked, while the exterior will be completed soon. We also get the promise of more images and videos on the coming weeks. Beta testing is planned to begin in two weeks, and the developer hopes to release the add-on in February.
Last, but not least, we get a single screenshot of the upcoming Airbus A330 by Aerosoft. At the moment, this popular airliner still doesn't have a release date.
