Microsoft Flight Simulator Alice Springs

Today third-party developers had news to share about airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator, on top of releasing another.

We start with Impulse Simulations, which released new screenshots of Alice Springs Airport (YBAS) in Australia. This time around we clearly get to see the airport's nature as one of the biggest storage facilities for mothballed aircraft in that area of the world, on top of the US Air Force Boeing C-17 Globemaster III which will appear only on  Wednesdays between 1:00 and 2:00 pm.

Next, FSimStudios released development updates about its work on Calgary Airport (CYYC) and Winnipeg Airport (CYWG).

CALGARY CYYC - FOR MSFS:

We are at a point where I'm comfortable and confident saying that we are one month - perhaps a little less - away from release. Plus/minus a week for testing, optimizing, and such. The terminal is mostly done, ground poly is mostly done, really just a matter of putting it all together, finishing touches and we are good to go. As we approach the release date, we will begin releasing new screenshots, teasers and the trailer video.

WINNIPEG CYWG - FOR MSFS

As soon as Calgary is completed, we will put all our resources into Winnipeg. 3D modeling for Winnipeg is currently about 70% completed, and we are targeting a release in early summer.

We also learn that the developer has partnered with Texas Simulations to publish their Houston William P. Hobby Airport (KHOU) in Texas, US. This means that the airport will come "within the next month" to all the stores FSimStudios normally releases on.

From Texas Simulations itself (on its Discord server which I can't link because invites are disabled,) we learn that the price should be $17.99 and we get a few screenshots

Last, but not least, Colombian Virtual Design released Santa Ana Airport (SKGO) serving Cartago, Colombia.

It's currently available for $13.08 on Simmarket and below you can check out a few screenshots.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, including Game Pass. If you'd like to learn more, you should stay tuned on TechRaptor as we have daily Microsoft Flight Simulator news to keep you updated on the many add-ons coming and released for the sim. We have also recently interviewed Microsoft's Jorg Neumann about the Antonov An-225 "Mriya" and reviewed Orbx's Oslo Gardermoen Airport and RHDSimulations' Boeing 767-300ER
